me: the pictures you have are too small to be printed in 16”x47”

client: what do you mean they are too small?

me: they are too small to print poster size, if you do the image will be very pixelated.

client: but why

me: the files you have are only 500px x 700px at 72dpi. you are going to need at least 2400px up at 300dpi.

client: those words mean nothing to me.
